The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform this new, that range is broad.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
